Instructions for operating ICOM F3 Radio
1.   Knob near the antenna turns clockwise to turn the radio on. Continue clockwise increases volume, counterclockwise decreases volume. Continued counterclockwise turns it off.
2.   The radio has 2 banks of 16 each channels to choose from. When the radio is turned on, it will return to the channel last used, unless the battery has been changed. Not all channels are necessarily programmed.
3.   Use the P0 key to change between banks. Use the <Up Triangle> and <Down Triangle> to change between channels in a bank.
4.   Use the P1 key to scan all channels and banks.

5.   P2 changes the channel from High to Low Power. The letters LOW show in the display when in Low Power.
6.   P3 will toggle a keypad lock when held down for 1 second. A KEY shows in the display. This is handy to keep the radio on frequency when you are crawling through the brush.
7. "A" key will also initiate scan.
8. "B" key turns on the display light for 5 seconds.
9. "C" key toggles simplex on a repeater channel. (This applies to the IC-F3 radios.)
10. "D" key toggles beep function when held down for 1 second.
